I had a lovely late brunch at Duck & Waffle on Saturday afternoon. We were sat down by the windows with so much natural light, I couldn’t help taking a few quick shots of the food. I didn’t have my proper camera with me so these were taken with my iPhone.
Our food choices: We both ordered the signature dish which was their namesake – the duck and waffle. It’s an unusual combination of crispy duck leg confit, duck egg, waffles and mustard maple syrup, but a surprisingly delicious melange of flavours. Desserts were a steamed orange pudding with crème caramel ice cream, and tiramisu.
Great food and lovely company – certainly the best way to spend the weekend.
Photography-wise, in hindsight, I’m noticing some composition issues with these shots but it’s always a challenge to achieve that fine balance of taking photos discreetly in a public place and getting a good shot.
