While I do enjoy a pop of colour every now and then, I normally gravitate towards clean, restrained palettes in design. There’s something particularly elegant in a monochromatic, minimalist aesthetic in print/packaging. Some recent finds that showcase an excellent use of black & white:
1. Nordic House by Anagrama: This is possibly the most gorgeous dry-cleaning shop identity and collateral design I have ever seen.
2. The Geometry of Pasta by Here Design: I’ve seen this cookbook in bookstores and have almost bought it just based on the cover alone!
3. Topshop opening flyer by Johanna Bonnevier: Love the use the clean geometric patterns and type.
