SIDNEY - CARBON CYCLE

A concertina picture book for 4-5 year olds explaining the carbon cycle featuring a character called Sidney (a carbon atom). This was student project brief set by Scholastic Books and one specific constraint was to only use 3 colours. I developed a graphic, screen-printing effect to utilise the limited colour palette effectively.

Taking advantage of the concertina format of the project, some of the scenes were created with multiple continuous scenes across spreads. The example below demonstrates the 3rd and 4th spreads unfolded, showing a continuous scene.
